Everyone’s favorite Devil has been saved by Netflix! Netflix confirmed via Twitter that the Fox Network cancelled show “Lucifer” will be picked up by the streaming network for Season 4! The show based a comic book created by Neil Gaiman for DC’s Vertigo Imprint, stars Tom Ellis as the Fallen Angel, who comes to Los Angeles, run a nightclub and solves crime with an LAPD officer, played by Lauren German.
According to Deadline.com, Netflix made the decision to renew the fan favorite show today just before the contract options on some of it’s stars was about to expire. A strong fan campaign on Twitter including the #SaveLucifer hashtag helped the streaming service make the decision.
No word on when Season 4 will pick back up on Netflix, but two addition episodes of the show that were filmed last year, and meant for Season 4 were aired and are now available on streaming on the Netflix rival service Hulu. The show also stars Rachael Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Aimee Garcia, Tricia Helfer, Scarlett Estevez and Kevin Alejandro..
